Liv Belsby holds the academic degree of Cand. Scient. from the University of Oslo, in the subjects statistics, informatics and German. She has worked with valuation of portfolios in Aktiv Kapital. In particular she has worked with German portfolios, and collaborated closely with German analysts, the communication was then in German. Otherwise the working language was English. She has also translated legal and financial documents from German to Norwegian or English. Furthermore, she has used German as her daily language for several years.
Before working in Aktiv Kapital, Liv Belsby worked for several years as a researcher in Statistics Norway. During this time she spent two years as a national expert in Eurostat, and as a consultant for the World Bank in Zambia. In Statistics Norway she worked in a department aiding other departments in the application and use of statistical methods.
She has broad experience using a variety of statistical methods, such as sampling and weighting, many types of regression analysis, time series, seasonal adjustments etc. She is proficient in the use of computer tools for statistics (R, SAS, Excel, etc.)
Nils Henrik Risebro is an expert in mathematical modeling, especiallyfor models used in the oil industry. He is a professor in mathematics at the University of Oslo, and has been guest professor at ETH, Zürich. He was also a co-founder of the consulting company TSC.
Nils Henrik Risebro has his language background from the Norwegian Armed Forces course in the Russian language, and has long experience with translating within arms control, as well as for private companies. He can interpret Russian-English, Russian-German and Russian-Norwegian. He can also translate technical documents from German or English.
